Ward terms

Important things to know when using Ward

These plain-language terms explain the important conditions that apply when you use Ward and purchase a Ward membership from Ward.

Who provides Ward

The contracting party is Ward, operating Ward. Contact support@wardprotection.com. A public postal contact must be configured before launch.

Ward offers guidance, not a guarantee

Ward looks for signs of a scam and explains what it finds. A scam can be new or carefully disguised, so a result with no obvious warning signs is not proof that a person, message or website is genuine.

Use safe independent contact details

Do not rely only on contact details supplied in a suspicious message. When money, passwords or urgent action are involved, open the organisation's official app or use a number from a card, statement or independently found website.

Use Ward lawfully

Only submit content you are permitted to check. Do not use Ward to harass another person, probe systems without permission, upload unlawful material or try to defeat usage and security limits.

Availability can change

Ward relies on internet access and external safety sources. Features can occasionally be unavailable, delayed or changed as the service improves. Ward will aim to explain important interruptions clearly.

Reasonable usage limits

Core checking is intended for ordinary personal and Family use and is protected by short-term limits and an overall safety-and-cost circuit breaker. Deep AI-voice analysis is limited to 20 checks per calendar month for each paying account or shared Family billing owner. Ward shows a clear message when a temporary limit is reached.

Your seven-day trial

New Ward accounts receive seven days of access without charge and no payment card is required. The trial does not turn into a paid membership automatically. Access is locked when the trial ends unless you actively choose a paid membership. Choosing a paid membership charges the price shown in secure checkout and starts its stated billing period.

Subscriptions renew automatically

Monthly and annual memberships renew on the same cadence until cancelled. The final total, currency and billing interval Stripe will charge are shown in secure checkout before you confirm payment. Ward Family covers the purchaser and up to six invited family members.

Payments that cannot be completed

If a payment is incomplete, overdue, unpaid or paused, paid features can be locked until Stripe confirms an active membership. Ward provides a secure route to review invoices, update the payment method or turn off future renewal. Ward never asks you to enter card details directly into the app.

Joining an existing Family

An invited account does not pay an additional Family charge to the Family owner. If the invited person already has a separate Premium subscription, that subscription continues to renew until its purchaser cancels it; accepting a Family invitation does not cancel a different Stripe agreement automatically.

Managing or cancelling membership

The purchaser can turn off automatic renewal directly in Ward Settings or manage payment details through Ward's secure Stripe billing portal. Cancel before the next renewal if you do not want another charge. Unless Ward tells you otherwise, access continues until the current paid period ends. You can turn renewal back on before that date. Family members whose access is provided by another purchaser cannot manage that purchaser's billing. For billing help, email support@wardprotection.com.

Deleting an account

Permanent account deletion immediately cancels a subscription owned by that account, removes its Stripe customer where Ward can verify ownership, and closes any Family it sponsors. Remaining paid time is not preserved in Ward after deletion. Stripe or other providers may retain transaction records where the law requires it.

Price or service changes

Ward will show the price and renewal period before purchase. If Ward changes an existing recurring price or makes a material change to the paid service, it will provide the notice and cancellation opportunity required by applicable consumer law.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Refund and cooling-off rights depend on the law that applies to the purchase. Contact support@wardprotection.com promptly if you believe a payment was mistaken or a service was not supplied as agreed.

Suspension and closure

Ward may restrict an account to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law or respond to attempts to bypass security and usage controls. Where reasonable and lawful, Ward will explain the restriction and provide a way to contact support.
